Perry Hall Youth Sets Maryland State Record
Tyler Lewis woke up on Saturday feeling pretty good. A few hours later that good feeling turned to elation as he had just finished up back to back 300's and an 865 series at Perry Hall Lanes. Tyler threw the first eight, then left a 4-7-9 split in the ninth frame. That was his last miss as he threw the next 27 in a row to set the Maryland state record. "At first, I was just trying to beat my dad's best of 18 in a row, but once I beat that, I just tried to make it harder for him to beat me," said Tyler. Tyler's arsenal is exclusively made up of Storm products, a Lights Out, a Lucid, and a Marvel S. But the newest member of the arsenal is a Zero Gravity, which Tyler just got for Christmas. He bowls in the Saturday Varsity at Perry Hall Lanes, and the Storm Youth Sport Shot league on Fridays at Country Club Lanes.
To quote Tyler, "Ok, so I admit I was nervous. But I never let that get to me. I just kept striking and striking. Soon it got to the tenth frame, I was sick to the stomach. But I still pulled it off."
